About Me

MatthewI write plays, screenplays, stories and songs, some of which you can find on this website.

My plays include Dead Yard and Closed, both longlisted for the Bruntwood Prize in 2017 and 2015 respectively, and the one-act plays The Interview and The Inside Man, which featured in a double bill at the Brighton Fringe in 2011.

I’m also the author of the novel Exit Strategies, about an obituary writer desperate to escape his dead-end job.

I regularly make new material available through this website, and give updates on my writing projects, along with occasional writing tips. Please join my mailing list and I’ll keep you posted with any additions to the site. Or contact me directly if you have any comments or queries.
